“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophecy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18) Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” .. Acts 2:17-18 …

There is absolutely no question that the world is descending into deeper and deeper darkness by the hour. .. Every day we are seeing more & more Biblical prophetic events taking place all across the globe.

… Even ‘watchmen’ like myself are taken aback by the sheer volume of it all. .. But then, we who follow Christ and study His teachings should not be a bit surprised by it all. .. After all, the Bible’s prophets, along with Jesus Christ Himself told of all these things that would take place just prior to His soon triumphant return. ..

Having said all this, let me now refer back to the opening scripture of this commentary. .. What prompted me to look at this passage of scripture was a Facebook post by a sister in Christ. .. I won’t say who she is, but her initials are ‘Susan.’ … It goes on to say that some 25+ years ago, these thoughts from a vision came from Dr. Mark Barclay, a Minister of the Gospel. .. The following are some excerpts from his vision .. “I saw this horrible black cloud, dark cloud that was rising up over the horizon. .. I knew it would eventually fill the entire earth. … It represented every evil thing one could imagine .. every disease, sickness, and bacterial attacks that haven’t yet even been discovered. .. It will cause humans to do things that aren’t even human. .. It is filled with insanity, and many people will lose their minds and faculties — It is murder, terror, rape, abuse, terrorism, torture and much worse. .. It is filled with deceptions, heresies, perversions and filth.” … It went on to say that many people were running headlong into the cloud .. even those who ‘wore crosses’ .. those who professed faith, but …….. Simply, they did not have the spiritual strength to withstand the onslaught of evil! …

Now I want to share with you a dream I had in 2002 .. some 13 years ago. … It took place during a time in my life where I was totally immersed in the study of the ‘Red Letter’ teachings of Jesus Christ .. a point in my life where I believe I finally crossed the ‘obedience line’ and totally bought in to the total and irrefutable truth of God’s Holy Word. … Before I share the dream, I must say that I NEVER remember dreams in full. .. They are usually ridiculous fragments of mostly nonsense .. but this one? .. I remember every detail to this day! … It was completely vivid and real, which convinced me that it was from the Holy Spirit .. a message for this ‘old man’ to share in any way the opportunity presented itself. …. Here’s the dream …

“I’m lying on my back in an open field looking up at the sky when I’m prompted to sit up. .. I look off to my left and see a very large storm on the horizon. .. It was very dark in color and had what appeared to be a funnel cloud in the center. .. I immediately got up , turned to my right and went into an old building .. a barn of sorts. .. I looked for a place to take shelter but there was nothing in this place that could provide that. .. I went back out of the building, again looked off to my left, and the storm was much closer than before. .. It was also much larger, darker, and angrier – but what was really different was that it was full of raging fire! .. Again, I moved off to my right and went down a road away from the storm. .. Soon I came upon what appeared to be a small town, or the edge of a larger one. .. There were houses and neighborhoods .. school buses – what seemed to be ‘normal’ life going forward, unsuspecting of what was about to descend upon them.” ….

It is quite striking the similarities between Dr. Barclay’s vision and my dream. .. The two things that seem to share the same message are these … Yes, there is a storm coming to this world, and it will grow stronger & stronger as we draw nearer … and secondly, Dr. Barclay’s dream mentions ‘those with crosses were running headlong into the cloud.’ …… In my dream, this ‘blindness’ was depicted by the ‘old building’ that was not structurally strong enough to protect one from what was coming. … The synopsis? … The Doctor’s vision shows how today’s ‘people of faith’ are not spiritually strong enough to withstand the coming onslaught of evil.. that they will succumb to the pressures of this world. … In my dream, this same concept is   the ‘old building,’ which represents the church. .. It took me some time and praying to know what it meant, but simply, it stood for the condition of the vast majority of churches today who are NOT equipping the faithful for the coming days that lie just ahead. … Simply, today’s pews are filled with ‘lost souls!’ … How tragic!

Ok … We know for sure that a raging storm is coming upon the entire earth, and most are not ready, or are in total denial of this fact. … Just look to Matthew 24:37-39 where Jesus tells us that these final days would be like ‘the Days of Noah .. where people would be going on with life as they know it, totally oblivious to what is about to befall them! …..

So what can those of us who ‘know’ do about it? .. First of all we need to strengthen ourselves with God’s Word so as to be fully ready for the present and coming battle. .. We need to ‘put on the full armor of God’ so as to withstand all that is coming. .. Then, we must tell everyone the truth of what is coming so that they, too can be ready. … Yes, you will be rejected, and even persecuted, but it will only be temporary and the rewards soon to come will last for eternity! … Hallelujah!

I want to close with some scriptures that relate to what we are facing. … I’ll start with Isaiah 60:1-2 …

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2) See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over its peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.”

“You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” .. Psalm 18:28 …

“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.”

…… Psalm 112:4 …

“Even the darkness will not be dark to you, the night will shine like the day. for darkness is as light to you.” .. Psalm 139:12 …

And one more … This one is from Jesus Himself … “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” .. John 16:33 …

There are many more, but you get the idea of our Savior’s promise … He WILL deliver us from the darkness that is here now and is intensifying by the day. …. And here’s just one more scripture I want to share before I sign off for this moment. .. It is Christ Himself telling of His promise in the Gospel of Luke that when things appear to be spinning out of control, it is only proof that His time is near. …… “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” .. Luke 21:28 …

……..Our Lord is coming soon! … Hallelujah!!! ……

Until next time,

The debate rages! …. Is true Islam a religion of peace, or not? … Of course, the Paris terrorist attack this past weekend has brought this debate to a raging head once again. … In our own country, it would seem that our President as well as the vast majority of the political left, supports that what happened in France was not the true & peaceful Islam that the majority of Muslims practice, but simply an isolated act and a temporary setback. .. But when one looks deeper into the actual truth of which position is true, I find it simply amazing to listen to the rhetoric of denial concerning the opposite. … I certainly could give my opinion along with everyone one else, but it would most likely serve only to advance another opinion without any factual support. … Sooooo, let’s dispense with all the ‘words of war’ and fall back to something that seems to be a rare commodity in today’s world … facts! …

Let me start with some teachings from their Holy Koran (Quran) – the Islamic equivalent of the Bible, and some of their current organizations …

“Fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem.” (Surah 9:5)

“The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the hereafter.” (Surah 5:33)

“He it is who has sent His Messenger (Mohammed) with guidance and the religion of truth (islam) to make it victorious over all religions even though the infidels may resist.” (Koran 61:9)

“Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends.” (Koran 5:51)

Also, some of their leaders’ comments …

“Killing Jews is worship that draws us close to Allah.” (Hamas leader)

“The purest joy in Islam is to kill and to be killed for Allah.” (Ayatollah Khomeni)

“Who relinquishes his faith, kill him. I have been ordered by Allah to fight with people till they testify there is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is His Messenger.” (Mohammed – the founder of Islam)

There is much more I could share here concerning their militant theology, but this gives us an actual picture of their true teachings as well as their current leadership thinking…

So, it would seem that true Islam is based on violence and physical supremacy in which war becomes an act of faith. .. To believe in Islam is to have faith that it will conquer the whole world. .. And to be a true Muslim is to feel called to aid in that global conquest. .. The fulfillment of Islam depends on the submission of non-Muslims so that violence against non-Muslims becomes the essence of religion. .. To sum it up, physical dominance of Islam is the basis of fulfillment of their faith .. anything less is blasphemy! …

The bottom line would seem to be that Islamic terrorists are NOT fanatics, but devout followers of Mohammed, and are following His example and doing what their Islamic Quran teaches them to do. .. And we must be aware of this … Islam teaches that Mohammed superceded the Patriarchs and Jesus Christ. .. The word Islam does not mean peace – it means submission. …

OK … I want to sum up with these thoughts concerning our country – America – and how Islam fits in to the basic tenants of our society. …. I start with a comment from Franklin Graham … “True Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can’t beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they’ve committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries. I don’t agree with the teachings, and I find it to be a very violent religion.” ……

The following article has been circulating on the internet for quite some time, and I’m not sure of the original source, but it kind of sums it up quite clearly. … It is called .. ‘Can Muslims Be Good Americans?’ …

This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply …               “Can a Muslim be a good American?” …

*Theologically – No … Because his allegiance is to Allah, the Moon God of Arabia …

*Religiously – No … Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran 2:256 – Koran)

*Scripturally – No … Because his allegiance is to the Five Pillars of Islam and the Quran …

*Geographically – No … Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day …

*Socially – No … Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews …

*Politically – No … Because he must submit to the Mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the Great Satan …

*Domestically – No … Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34) …

*Intellectually – No … Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt …

*Philosophically – No … Because Islam, Mohammed, and the Quran does not allow freedom of religion and expression …

*Spiritually – No … Because when we declare ‘One Nation Under God,’ the Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly Father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran’s 99 Excellent Names …

I’ll close with this statement by Winston Churchill … “The religion of Islam above all others was founded upon the sword. Moreover, it provides incentives to slaughter, and in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men – filled with a wild and merciless fanaticism.” …..

I would think that after looking at the overflow of evidence, it is apparent that Islam is a religion of violence and total control. … Any other position would appear to be extremely difficult to defend. ……. But we must remember that those of us who serve the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ .. we must remember that we ARE a religion of love and peace – and that we must love and pray for those of other beliefs to come to the ultimate truth. … Salvation and eternal glory lies in ONLY ONE source … JESUS CHRIST! ….Hallelujah! …

Jesus is coming soon, so let us pray for those who are lost … that they may ‘see the light’ of truth before it is too late …..

Until next time,

“Be selfcontrolled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion
looking for someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)

There’s a war going on all around us and sadly, most of the world is ignoring it! .. Social
and moral balance has all but vanished and yet, people are walking around in what
seems to be a spiritual fog choosing to accept these realities as ‘normal’ rather than
dealing with what the obvious end result will be. …. For those of us who ‘see’ it, what
should we be doing to combat it? … I’m glad you asked …..

During my many conversations with various Christian leaders, the discussion of ‘militancy’
has come up innumerable times .. how it applied to our nation .. the nations of the world ..
how the Church fits into this picture .. and how we as individuals and as collective
societies view it. .. Needless to say, this debate took us to many points of thought. …… As
I have contemplated these conversations over the years, I’ve come to realize that in this
word .. militancy .. lies the answer to the success or failure of our churches today. .. Most
people, when they hear the word ‘militant,’ think immediately of war, or other aggressive
situations, be it political, personal, and so on. .. I, myself, was a victim of this thinking for
most of my life. .. But alas, I believe I’ve come to the understanding of what it truly should
mean .. and yes! .. I’m still a complete ‘militant’ .. but now, in a much different way.

Allow me to explain. .. First, let’s go to the American College Dictionary and look up the
meaning of the word ‘militant’ .. it says, “1) combative, aggressive: 2) engaged in warfare,
warring: 3) one engaged in warfare or strife; a militant person; serving as a soldier.”

Now let’s look away from the ‘worldly’ view of this definition and apply it to the Kingdom of
God. .. 2 Corinthians 10:34 says, “For tho we live in the world, we DO NOT wage war as
the world does. 4) The weapons we fight with are NOT the weapons of the world. On the
contrary, they have divine power to DEMOLISH strongholds.” (NIV emphasis mine) ..
and one more .. Ephesians 6:1213 states, “For our struggle is NOT against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. 13) Therefore put on the
FULL ARMOR of GOD, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand
your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” (NIV emphasis mine).

Now I want to use a Biblical example of the kind of warfare (militancy) that is being
revealed to us in these following passages .. In the town of Gadara, there was a mass of
tombs .. and dwelling amongst them was a man who was possessed by some 2000
unclean spirits. .. Can any of us even begin to imagine the torment this demonpossessed
man endured? .. Scripture says he wailed and cried all through the night, ripping his
clothes and cutting himself with stones. .. This poor soul lived as a wild beast, and there
seemed to be no one who could help him. .. Plainly, satan had taken ‘ownership’ of this
tormented man. ..

In chapter 5 of the Book of Mark, we see where Jesus had just finished teaching in
another town and was now heading to Gadara, where this demonpossessed man lived ..
and unlike many other places, there as no waiting crowd. .. There would be no healings,
and no teachings of parables. .. Simply, Christ’s mission was to reach this one person ..
the demoniac who lived amongst the tombs. ..

In this Gospel, we see an amazing scene take place. .. Mark 5:27 says this, “When
Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. 3)
This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, even with a chain. 4)
For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the
irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5) Night and day among the
tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones. 6) When he saw
Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of Him. 7) He shouted at the
top of his voice, ‘What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to
God you won’t torture me.’

Why did the demonic say this?.. It is because evil spirits are tormented when they
encounter Christ! .. They know for a fact that they will be chained and bound for eternity.
.. Then Jesus responded directly to the demons saying, “.. Come out of this man, you
evil spirit.” (vs 8) .. and the 2000 unclean spirits, who called themselves ‘Legion,’
responded immediately, left the demoniac and entered into a herd of pigs, which ran
down the mountainside and jumped into the sea and drowned. (vs 9, 1113). .. And then
what happened? .. This poor tormented man, who just a few minutes earlier was crazed
by evil spirits, now sat calmly at Jesus’ feet .. in his right mind!

Certainly this was an incredible miracle Jesus had just demonstrated .. but also it is a
clear message to all of us that our Lord’s authority has power over all and every kind of
darkness, no matter how strong. .. And I believe there is even a bigger message here ..
one that is for our church today. .. In the Book of Revelation, the Word clearly speaks of a
‘flood of evil’ that will come upon the earth in the last days .. the final days when the devil
knows his time is short. ….

There is no question in my mind that these ARE the days we are now living in. .. People
from all walks of life are questioning what is going on all around us .. and it’s no wonder! ..
All are ‘running to and fro … ” (Daniel 12:4). .. Any semblance of morality is on its last legs
.. we have far surpassed the tragic example of ‘Sodom & Gomorrah.’ ……

So what is going on? .. Simply, it is the ‘power of hell’ at work. .. Satan and his hordes are
doing all they can to put as many as possible into darkness. .. As the Church of Jesus
Christ, we need and must be fully aware that we are witnessing satan’s fullscale attack
against God’s people. .. Multitudes of souls live in ‘tombs of selfdestruction,’ being
harassed and tormented by evil spirits. .. Millions upon millions of hearts are crying out in
torment just as you are reading these words .. and according to scripture, it is only going
to get worse with each passing hour. ……. But when all seems hopeless .. when
lawlessness seems unstoppable .. and when there seems to be no place left to turn, this
is when many will begin to finally turn their faces to Jesus .. the One and Only One who
can rescue them from their torment. …

So how will this all transpire? .. Simply, it is time for Christ’s disciples .. His Church .. to
get out of its ‘lukewarm, pleasureseeking, seekerfriendly’ state .. and become militant by
getting back to to the ministry described in Luke 9:12 where Jesus gave His disciples
authority over satan’s hordes .. “When Jesus had called the twelve together, He gave
them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2) and He sent
them out to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” ……. I see nowhere in
scripture where this authority or power over evil has been rescinded! .. The time has
come for Christ’s ‘authentic’ church to rise up and get back to the ministry of fighting the
devil on all fronts. .. There is NO FEAR in the true followers of our Lord!

If you are one who is caught up in the ‘old ways’ of complacency .. or just going through
the motions .. then I strongly urge you to become ‘spiritually militant’ and start making a
difference in the very short time we have left. .. Cries of despair are coming from all
corners of our world and it’s time for the true church to answer these cries. .. It is time to
call on the Power of The Holy Spirit! ……

Finally, know this .. there are two worlds out there .. one of good and one of evil .. and in
these last days, the warfare that has been waged for centuries will now only increase. .. In
the true sense of the word, there is a ‘war of the worlds’ going on, and it is evident when
we look around us that the current church of today is losing the battle. .. Why? .. Because
we try and fight it with worldly methods .. ways that seem to be ‘acceptable’ to our culture.
… But the results have proven to be disastrous! .. So what then? .. Romans 12:2 says it
very clearly, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind.” (NIV)

Remember this .. Jesus did not condemn the man at Gadara. .. He did not ask the man
how he became so bound. .. There was no rebuke, not even a question. .. Instead, Jesus
worked a wonderful miracle of deliverance for the tormented man. .. He showed the world
how God has authority over EVERY power of darkness. .. And finally He passed it on to
those of us who ‘hear His calling.’ … Hallelujah! …….

Simply, IT IS TIME!

Until next time,
