Are the times we are living in crazy or what?! ... It seems that almost every aspect of our lives are careening out of control with every passing moment. ... Being a 'watchman on the wall' concerning the Bible's prophecies, one would think the times are extremely exciting! ...And while they are, they are also frustrating because it seems the vast majority of people out there don't really seem all that interested. .. In fact, most are completely oblivious to what actually is taking place all around them.

Looking back through history, we see this as the case in other societies just before their demise. ... Let me share just one with you ... Judah ... The prophet Jeremiah tried desperately to warn them of their impending destruction, but to no avail. ... So in 586 BC, the Babylonians came down upon them, destroyed their cities and took them captive. ... Among those captives was a young man named Daniel. .. Now we who know something about the Bible also know that he was to become a great prophet of God. ... During his time here on the earth, he was given many visions and dreams concerning God's plans for mankind. ...

Upon reading Daniel's words, we see very clearly that he was not to understand what was being given to him from God. ... In fact, his visions were to be for the generation of the end-times ... our generation. ... Specifically, God told him in to "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." (Daniel 12:9) ... And then in verse 10, God goes on to say that   " ..... the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand." .... This pretty much sums up my earlier frustration about how so may seem not to care, or are not 'paying attention' to the coming wrath that is about to befall this nation and world! 

But hey! ... Frustration or not, my commitment is to continue to share the words of God so as to maybe reach even just a few more before that day of wrath is upon us..... Keeping this in mind, I feel the best way to 'reach' those who are 'asleep' is to give them proof-positive evidence as to the truth of God's spoken Word. ... So let's for a moment look at just one of the prophet Daniel's teachings concerning the words that were to be "closed up until the time of the end." ...

Look for a moment at Daniel 12:4 which says,  "But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." ... What this is telling us is really quite simple ... that in these last days, people will be running every which way ... and man's knowledge will increase. ...... Think these two things are true? .... Let's look .....

Let me first share just a few details from a recent article sent to me by a family member. .. It is titled "The Year Was 1955." ... Now before I quote some of it, stop and remember that this was just some 58 years ago ... just a brief moment in the spectrum of overall time. .... Now here are just a few quotes from the article ... "Who would have thought that gas would someday cost 25 cents a gallon, or postage stamps would be 7 cents" ...... "I'm afraid to send my kids to the movies any more.  Ever since they let Clark Gable get by with saying 'hell & damn' in Gone With The Wind, it seems every new movie has swearing in it." ......
"I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be electric.  They're even making electric typewriters now." ...... "I'm afraid the Volkswagen car is going to open the door to a whole lot of foreign business." ...... "The fast-food restaurant is convenient for a quick meal, but I seriously doubt they will ever catch on." ...... 

I remember conversations I had with my mother back aways .... she was born in 1914 on the plains of eastern Montana, and as a girl, their primary mode of transportation was either a horse-drawn buggy or riding bareback. ... They went to town once a year to buy supplies .... all this less than 100 years ago! ... She said to me one day ... "It is amazing what I have seen in just my lifetime .... from riding horses bareback to a man on the moon ... amazing!" .....

If we consider the prophecy of "increased knowledge," think of it this way .... recorded history of man runs approximately 6,000 years, and during all but just these last few years, knowledge increased at pretty much the same snail's pace ... but now, it is exploding by the moment! ... Just look at these two headlines in just the past few days .... "We can stop aging by re-programming human bio-systems" .. or .. "Genetic tweeks could extend human lifespan to 500 years" ... Think of it! ... From horse-drawn transportation to genetic restructuring... in just a glimpse of time!

OK, my point in all of this? ... For the few of you who are paying attention to the times, these kinds of 'proof-positive' prophecies may wake up someone who is otherwise slumbering through these final days. ... While I realize most every generation has believed they are the last, only these kinds of teachings prove that it is absolutely this one that actually is! ... When Daniel was told to seal up the 'words' until the time of the end, what he was telling us is that no one would understand what they meant until they started to happen.  ... Are we seeing and increase in knowledge? .... Are we running to and fro? .... Of course we are, and as a result, we can now understand these words that were meant for this generation ... this particular 'moment in time' ...

There are many more prophecies that fit this day and age, and I will bring them to you as we go forward, and as time allows. ... But for now, I will leave it here. .... Just for a moment, think of someone who is skeptical ... someone who demands proof-positive evidence of the truth of God's Word ... and then discuss these two passages from Daniel (12:4 & 9). ....Yes, there will be those that no matter what we say or show, it will make no difference ... but for some it WILL! .... Take the chance! .... I will guarantee you this ... even the worst skeptic will at least have to consider something written some 2500 years ago as being so right-on in today's world. ....
