But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." .. Matthew 7:13-14 Hello?! .. Are any of you seeing what I am seeing?! ...... What is taking place right now in this land of ours is absolutely mind-blowing! ... Anyone that possesses an intelligence above plant life can see the sheer deception that is taking place all around us .. and not just here in America, but all across the entire globe! .. But for now, I will stick to just America. ...... What has gotten me so worked up is the current election process that we are presently enduring. .. I've been around a lot of years, and have most always tried to stay informed as to the candidates and issues presented at the time, but this year brings an entirely new level of unbelievable rhetoric. .. A classic example of what I'm talking about is how these various candidates stand before the audiences denying certain issues while news clips from their recent past show totally the opposite of what they are saying! ... Rampant pathological lying has become the norm in today's political world! ... And it goes further that this. .. I will use one particular candidate as an example of the 'new' politics that seem to currently dominate the land. .. He says things like this ... 'I am greedy, greedy, greedy! When I'm president, we will grab, grab, grab!' .. Now the problem with this is that he claims to be a Christian, and the last time I checked, this is exactly the opposite of what Christ teaches! .. Matthew 6:20 says it clearly .. "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." .. Somehow I don't see Greedy, greedy, greedy, or grab, grab, grab in this teaching. ... Living in gilded towers & surrounded by opulence is NOT the example Christ would most likely advance. .. And there's more ... Again, using this same particular candidate, he has also made statements like .. 'I could kill someone right now and it wouldn't matter' .. 'everybody's a liar!' .. 'punch the protester in the mouth' .. 'I won't act this way when I'm elected' .. and on & on .. Somehow this doesn't seem to represent the Christian position I've come to understand. ... And what's even more scary? ... This guy is leading all the poles by a large margin! ... But here's the part that has me totally gasping for spiritual air. ... Those claiming to be Evangelical Christians are flocking to this candidate in droves! ... What?! ... Even many well-known Pastors & Church leaders are jumping in with both feet. .. One example is Jerry Falwell's son who now runs the Falwell empire. .. I personally watched him on a talk show completely 'alter' scripture so as to support some of this person's positions. .. It was unbelievable to watch! .. And sadly, this is why we are seeing so many of the 'lukewarm' followers siding now with these types of candidates. .. When the Church leaders are jumping into this 'pot of deception,' what else can we expect from those who sit at their feet and listen to them each week? .. 1 Timothy 4:1 says it all .. "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." ... Sadly, the leaders of today's American Church are succumbing to wealth, popularity & power instead of sticking to the true teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. ... Once again, it comes down to the fact that end-time prophecy is being fulfilled right before our very eyes, and most of the folks out there are missing it .. and that is why Jesus said the that 'the gate is small and the road narrow .. and that only a few would find it.' ... How sad! .... The Apostle Paul shared with us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 this tragic fact .. "For a time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. .. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." .. And one more ... "My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. ... Ezekiel 33:31 ... So again, it comes down to the 'condition' of the Church, at least as far as its supposed followers are concerned. .. It has evolved in many ways into a power-broker for the political process of this sinful nation. ... Instead of turning to prayer and supplication, we've come to collectively believe we can 'legislate righteousness' through the corrupt system we now live in. .. It seems that most will support anyone or anything that tells them 'what their itching ears want to hear. .. They will sell out the truth for their own personal agendas, even at the risk, it would seem, of possible spiritual destruction! The Bible teaches that in the latter days, there will be terrible times, and without a doubt, this is happening. .. The end-time storm is here and will continue to intensify as we draw ever closer ... and most will not survive. ... As the opening verse from Matthew 7 tells us, few will enter the small gate. .. And sadly, by the evidence we are seeing just in this election process alone, this would seem to totally support this prophetic scripture. .. But there is a remnant out there that keeps the hope alive. .. There are a few leaders & followers left that are telling the truth of the Bible, even at the expense of their own safety and popularity. .. So my encouragement is this ... size up first if you are receiving any spiritual nourishment, and then look to the scriptures to make sure it is of the truth - popular or not! .. And do it today. ... I'm telling you that as a 'watchmen' of God's prophetic Word, time is extremely short for us to get our houses in order. .. Don't be a victim of the 'Days of Noah' syndrome and be caught off guard when the Trumpet blows. .. He is coming, and soon! ... "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." .. Luke 21:28 ...
