Is nuclear war a possibility? .. Could it be coming to a city near you? .. It would seem that the lull of the past couple of decades since the Cold War ceased in the early 1990s, is over! .. The news headlines once again are seeing a dramatic increase in nuclear 'saber-rattling' by not only Russia, but also several other countries. .. And what's really scary? .. A couple of them have nut-jobs for leaders! .. Some recent headlines: *Washington Post - "Former Secretary of Defense William Perry says 'We now have the greatest threat of nuclear war ever".. (8/25/16) *Zero Hedge - "British General says a nuclear war with Russia in 2017 'entirely possible' " (July, 2016) ... *The Sun/UK - "Russia Building up for Atomic War? .. Building top-secret nuclear shelters"   (9/5/16) ... *Reuters - "World War lll Warning:  Planet closer to catastrophic WW lll than at any time for 60 years" (9/5/2016 ... For the sake of perspective, let's look at just a bit of history concerning this most dangerous issue. .. After World War ll, we witnessed the proliferation of nuclear weapons, but primarily by the only two super-powers of those early days - Russia & the USA. .. Yeah, there were always threats flying around with my generation being taught to hide under our desks at school (just think about it), but because both nations were afraid of each other's arsenals, it kept it all in check. .. But then in 1991, the USSR (Russian Empire) fell so that left America as really the only real nuclear power. .. Fortunately, we had no desire at that time to destroy anyone. Fast-forwarding to today, that period of 'calm' has all but vanished from the world scene. .. Today we have the likes of Pakistan, India, Russia, Britain, France, the U.S., China, North Korea, Israel and Iran, all with the capabilities to inflict havoc on their enemies! .. Included in all this is the fact that both Russia & China are spending untold Billions in upgrading their nuclear arsenals, with the 'Cold War' rhetoric back in full swing. .. The West, led by America, is rapidly weakening because it is drenched in decadent, mind-wrecking sin. .. The end result is currently, and will continue to be, a meteoric fall. Now besides so many nations having nuclear capabilities, the real danger lies in especially these two - Iran & North Korea. .. North Korea is led by none other than a young radical who continues to threaten everybody - Japan, South Korea & the U.S. being his top choices. .. And what's really frightening is the fact that he HAS the nuclear weapons at his disposal to do what he threatens - to attempt to annihilate the aforementioned! .. And then there's Iran. .. Here's a nation with completely radical Islamic leaders who believe they MUST create war & havoc in order for their 'Mahdi' (their version of Jesus) to come back. .. They also are constantly crying out for the 'death of Israel & America, The little & great Satans. .. And now I want to share a moment of complete lunacy - the recent Nuclear Treaty that America signed giving these nut-jobs the OK to continue their nuclear advancements, not to mention all the $$$ being secretly shipped to them! .. This simply has to be considered an unmitigated defeat in regards toward the advancement of any real peace efforts. .. They don't want peace! .. All this portrays to me is that our current leaders in America don't have a clue when it comes to their religious beliefs. .. Bottom line? .. Iran has NEVER kept a promise & won't start now! Let's for a moment look at two previous deals that bore striking similarities. .. First, back in the 1930s, the German plan was to take over the world. .. Then, in 1938, the Munich Agreement' was initiated by England's Neville Chamberlain, who failed to see the real danger of Germany's intentions. .. He was warned by Winston Churchill, but to no avail. .. We all know what happened next. .. Fast -forward to 1994 when then President Bill Clinton bragged about his deal with North Korea saying it would freeze & ultimately dismantle their nuclear program. .. Yeah, right! .. Look at them today. .. The have both the bombs & missiles to deliver them, all with a radical leading them. .. Interestingly, I seem to remember both President Obama & Secretary of State John Kerry saying very similar things about their Iran deal. .. OK .. Enough saber-rattling & war rhetoric! .. With all that is going on in this crazy world, the only way to really make any sense of it is to ALWAYS turn to the Word of God for the answers which will always lead to the right & only truthful outcome. .. What exactly does the Bible say concerning this nuclear war question? .. There are several irrefutable facts about it. .. We know of course that as long as 'man' is running the earthly show, there will be 'wars & rumors of wars' (Matthew 24:6-8). .. But specifically, to the question of nuclear war, Bible prophecy is very clear in its description of it. .. We see in the opening verse of 2 Peter 3:10 that "both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up." .. There are others as well but I want to focus specifically on the coming Ezekiel 38-39 war - The Gog/Magog War. .. This is not the Battle of Armageddon but one before it with Russia (Magog) and her allies Persia (Iran), Gomer (Turkey) and several others coming against Israel. .. Scripture says this .. "And I will bring him to judgement (Gog & his allies) with pestilence and bloodshed;  I will rain down on him and his troops, and on the many people who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. (Ezekiel 38:22) .. Interestingly, Russia, Iran, and just now Turkey are all allies for the 1st time in history! .. We will see this war coming very soon. .. Of course, God will intervene, and Israel will be spared. .. Now let's move to the final battle of Armageddon, which will also take place in virtually the same place - Jerusalem. .. Turn to the Book of Zechariah, chapter 12:2-3 where it says this .. "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.  3) And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all the peoples;  all who would heave it away will surely be cut to pieces, though all the nations of the earth are gathered against it." ... ALL the nations of the earth will come against Jerusalem in those final days just before Christ's triumphant return! .. Now go to Zechariah 14:12 which says,  "And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:  'Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths." .. What else but nuclear war could do this to people while they are still standing in battle?! .. OK .. Summing it all up, there's no question that the Ezekiel War & The Battle of Armageddon will involve nuclear weapons. .. Beyond that, who knows for sure. .. Certainly with North Korea & Iran being led by fanatical rulers, also with both supplying terrorist outfits with all sorts of weapons, anything more is possible. .. Whatever, it will all be over soon. .. There's no question Zechariah's prophecy in chapter 12 is coming true right before our eyes. .. Most all nations & peoples of the earth hate the Jews and will soon make their move to exterminate them. .. Even America, once here powerful ally & protector, has now turned its back on Israel. .. Again, fulfillment of Bible prophecy. .. But, as always, I want you to NOT worry about such things. .. In fact, for 'watchmen' like me, it is simply exciting to witness God's words coming true right before our eyes! ... He IS coming soon! ... Hallelujah! ...
