"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come." .. 2 Timothy 3:1 - NKJV .... As I've expounded upon so much lately, these times are getting harder & harder to watch as we move forward .... For those of us who have even a clue as to what is going on, the warning signs are everywhere! ... Today I'm getting right to the point ... the coming months ahead are going to be disastrous for this nation, and most likely for the rest of the world as well. .. Let me share just a couple of issues to reveal to you as to how ... *Our Society - Apparent civil disorder is being promoted by both sides of the political camps. .. Donald Trump, in one of his recent campaign speeches, stated that if he is kept from getting the nomination of his party, riots most likely would ensue. .. Then just this morning, one of his campaign staff people said that it could very well be 'a good thing' if this were to happen! ... Then, right behind this, George Soros activists are said to be plotting the 'largest protests of the century.' .. Simply, it's 'left' vs. 'right' politics and both seem to be promoting violent responses to one another. ... Now, adding additional fuel to this increasing violent rhetoric is the social media. .. Spokespersons from all sides are receiving extremely hateful, violent, life-threatening slurs. .. In fact, many have had to hire personal body guards for fear of physical retaliation! ... This is America?! ... This is the land of free speech?! ... Some are saying that the coming summer months will make 1968 look like a lovefest when comparing the social chaos it will cause. ... Simply, our social fabric in America is disintegrating before our very eyes! .. Ray DeLorenzo, in his article in the Canada Free Press on 3/16, summed some of it up quite nicely ... "In spite of the trillions of dollars spent on social programs, no one is satisfied. Kids demand free college, people want free cell phones, free food, free housing. Like a scene from "'The Hospital,' George Scott rants out of a hospital window that 'We have established the most enormous medical entity ever conceived and people are sicker than ever. We cure nothing. We heal nothing.' .. The pills of our society, the food stamps, the cell phones, the big-screen TVs, the cars, have cured nothing. .. We want more. .. We are hastily evolving into a dark place." ...... He is absolutely correct in his analysis .. nothing makes the people of this nation happy anymore! .. And now we are turning to violent-leaning political leaders to solve our problems?! ... It ain't going to be pretty ...... Continuing the opening scripture of 2 Timothy 3, verses 2-5 says, "For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power." .. Sure seems to be a perfect analysis of today's society .. and it was written some 2000 years ago! *The Great Apostasy - As the 'watchmen' of God's Holy Word have been warning since the beginning, any nation that turns its back on God WILL fall into chaos which will ultimately lead to its destruction. .. Have we done that? .. Has the rest of the world done that? .. Without Question! ... 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says it clearly .. "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first ... " ... It's as clear as it can be .. once the 'falling away' occurs, 'that day,' meaning the day of destruction, will take place. .. If anyone even begins to deny that we have fallen away from our moral & spiritual values, they then are truly deceived! .. Simply, this nation is in a complete & total moral & spiritual collapse! .. The 'falling away' from the spiritual truth has happened! .. Our nation is experiencing a complete rebellion against God. .. Deception abounds! .. When you put it all together, what have you got? .. A recipe for disaster! .. Judgement is soon to fall upon this land, as well as the rest of the world .. and it will be soon ..... My following thoughts are not a prophecy, but merely a prognostication. .. America is going to experience exceedingly great distress in the coming months .. civil unrest, the likes of which we have never witnessed .. unprecedented economic implosion .. and much more. .. The results of all this mayhem will be a breakdown of the civil order, widespread poverty, and the strong possibility of overall martial law, which will attempt to bring it all back into some semblance of 'normalcy.' ... And here's a thought .. because of all the political 'junk' that is going on right now that is helping to create this environment, there may not even be an election because of all the coming civil disorder it's helped to create! .. A sad epitaph to a once very seemingly fair system. Summing up, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that much distress is soon coming upon this land as well as the rest of the world. .. In fact, Jesus said that " .. there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now .. " Matthew 24:2. .. So because we are headed for incredible changes, we believers are faced with this important question ... how near am I to Jesus in this hour? .. I believe that when things are unsettled, the most powerful testimony is that the Christian is wholly at peace. .. While the rest of society is in a panic - fainting, in some cases even dying, from fear - the praying believer will be growing continually stronger. .. It will be so because that godly servant is receiving more & more encouragement from the Holy Spirit. .. The Bible speaks of that which can't be shaken! .. If you want to be able to stand steadfast in the coming storm, Scripture's counsel is simple: You MUST have the Lord's presence in your daily life. .. How much quality time do you spend alone with Jesus? .. Are you growing closer to Him with each passing day? .. Do you pray without ceasing - that is, to silently call out to Him throughout the day & evening? .. Remember this if nothing else .. He PROMISES to hear your cry, even when uttered in weakness. ... Hallelujah! .. Darkness is falling on the world. .. So here's our assignment from Jesus himself ... "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." ... Once again, Hallelujah!!! Until next time, Red
