The following is an excerpt from a book
written by the late Pastor David Wilkerson .....
"I want to tell you about a certain
society - one that cast God aside and consequently sank into a pit of
gross darkness. Despising the light, this society became a magnet
for every kind of evil spirit. Law and order collapsed;
every man was a law unto himself. The entire society was abandoned
to the devil, and no moral force remained to hinder its headlong rush
into hell. There was no honor, decency, or self-respect left among
the people, and they had no reverence for life whatsoever. Justice
and kindness faded away, and they were overcome with lust and licentiousness.
They sneered at virtue, their consciences seared and calloused.
They scoffed at the fear of God and mocked righteousness. They
became totally inhospitable, possessing the heart and indifference of
a beast. They had no pity for the poor. All spiritual desire
was extinguished, and gross materialism and fleshly lusts became their
gods. The people became totally shockproof, so that the vilest,
bloodiest crimes were accepted as normal behavior. ..... I'm actually
describing two societies here: Sodom and America!"
What prompted me to address the subject of militant
homosexuality this week is the sheer number of rapidly increasing stories
concerning this stuff in the news. ... It's almost on a daily level
now! Here's just a brief peek at a few of them ...
*August 12 - "TruNews reported
this ... "Air Force says 'Drag Acts' symbolize gay pride ... and
invited a well-known drag queen group to perform on base during a 'Diversity
Day' celebration."
*August 15 - World Net Daily had this
story ... "U.S. Airmen punished for opposing 'gay' marriage."
*August 16 - Christian News stated
... "California considers punishing youth groups against homosexuality"
*August 17 - The Wall Street Journal
had this to say ... "Russian 'gays' look to U.S. for asylum"
You get the picture ... and the last article should
tell us volumes ... "Come to America because 'perversion' is applauded
and celebrated! .... Does no one understand the consequences of all
this?!
Sadly, most Americans are completely oblivious to
the inevitable outcome of our moral mess. ... And what is worse is that
even a large number of those calling themselves Christians are endorsing
these perverted lifestyles. In fact, entire denominations are falling
for this delusion of the enemy - Satan! ... The following is a headline
out of the Portland (Maine) Press Herald: "Presbyterian Task
Force Recommends Ordaining Homosexuals." ... The article
went on to say that a study called the Majority Report claims homosexual
activity is not a sin; rather, all sex is morally neutral. ... The report
also contained this stand on adolescent sex: "Advocating
'just say no' is not the answer. What we hope to teach young people
is to make good choices - that when it's right to say no they will say
no, and when it's right to say yes they will say yes." .... Now
I ask you this ... when is it EVER right for a child to say yes to sex?!
There are more large denominations who also advocate
homosexuality such as the United Methodists.
Even the Pope came out a couple of weeks ago telling
his huge flock to love the homosexuals and be accepting of them. ..
But sadly during this bit of rhetoric, he never mentioned the lifestyle
as being a sinful one. ... While I agree that we need to love everyone,
that does not give us license to accept sinful practices .... ever!
Then there are the false prophets and teachers of
today spouting their deceptive rhetoric to further encourage people
to fall for the enemy's lies. ... Joel Osteen, who just so happens to
pastor one of America's largest churches, comes right out and says that
he isn't going to pass judgement on anyone or anything ...the bottom
line being that folks attending his meetings never hear of the consequences
of a sinful lifestyle. ... No wonder he has such a large Church! ....
You can do what you want without any guilt whatsoever! ...... We know
that in today's American church, judgement preaching is not popular...
and this example is living proof of it. ...
So did you hear this one? ... On August 9th, an
African Bishop condemned America's presiding Episcopal Bishop.
... The word he used was 'Anathematized' ... In short, he called out
Bishop Katherine Jefferts Schori, the head of America's Episcopal Church,
saying that she has committed the one unforgivable sin: that of
blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.' ... He went on to accuse her of
saying that "All the writings of St Paul are satanically inspired."
... Wow! ... Now remember, she is the leader of millions of folks claiming
to be Christians. ... If you recall anything about this lady, she was
extremely controversial when the Episcopalians chose her as their leader,
and one of the issues was centered around the homosexual agenda.
... She is a total supporter. .... Oh, and by the way, the Apostle Paul
penned several Scriptures which oppose this lifestyle.
Let's look at just two ...
*Romans 1:26-28 says this ... "Because
of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women
exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27) In the same
way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed
with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other
men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28) Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the
knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought
not to be done."
*1 Corinthians 6:9-20 says this ...
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of
God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor
idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10) nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers
will inherit the Kingdom of God."
There are many more, but we can all get a very clear
picture of what the 'inspired' Holy Scriptures think about this now
popular lifestyle here in America.
So where do we go from here? ... Has America crossed
God's proverbial 'line in the sand?' ... History shows that every nation
or empire that fell into moral decadence experienced God's wrath and
fell into the historic heap of ruins. .... Prophets of old warned the
nations concerning these very things. ... The prophet Ezekiel said this
... "Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her
daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not
help the poor and needy. 50) They were haughty and did detestable things
before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen."
(Ezekiel 16:49-50)
I wonder what Ezekiel would think if he were to
walk the streets of America today ... I think he'd be shocked by all
the arrogance and sheer hatred toward God .... the materialism, the
flaunting of sins, the militant homosexuality ... he would most likely
cry out and say something like .. "America, you are more abominable
that Sodom ever was! ... In fact, you are the most ungrateful society
the world has ever experienced! ... and rest assured, he will humble
you just as He has all other nations that forsook Him."
Today I read a comment from the famous modern-day
prophet Reinhard Bonnke who said that the Holy Spirit told him that
America is going to come out of our difficult times and will experience
a great revival.
Sadly, Mr.Bonnke reaches millions of people with
his 'presumed prophecies.' ... As for me, I believe his 'vision' is
wishful thinking. ... I believe that America, and the rest of the world
for that matter, has crossed the line ... that we have reached the flash
point of God's judgement! ... We are already like all past societies
that permitted the rise of a dominant, defiant homosexual spirit. ...
I just wonder if even the angels in Heaven are aghast at the speed with
which we are racing toward the gates of hell. ... You can be sure of
this ... God will NOT allow this to go on much longer ... and when He
finally reaches His limit, it will be clear that the hour of judgement
is upon us.
Brothers & Sisters, the shaking is already upon
us, and will only increase before the final day is upon us. ... So we
need to stop putting off telling everyone we know ... family .. friends
.. anyone who does not know and is oblivious to what is coming ...
to share the saving message of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ..
It is the one and only thing that can pull them from the fires of judgement
that is about to befall this once-great nation. .... Time is extremely
short so do it now!
