There it is! .. He told us so .. that in these final days of the Church Age people of all walks would mock those of us who hold on to the true teachings of the prophets. .. I must admit that it is very difficult at times because often I feel that nobody listens anymore .. that we who 'watch' have 'cried wolf' many times too often. .. But then when I read the words of the teachers & prophets of old, it re-energizes me because it reminds me that it WILL be like this just before the triumphant return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. ...
Most every generation since Jesus' time here on the earth have believed, & even anticipated His return. .. Until recently, so, too, did this one. .. But of late, it seems that the large majority of today's church leaders are ignoring the obvious convergence of all the prophetic signs that are currently befalling this world. .. Because I follow this stuff every waking moment, it astounds me that this is happening! .. I mean, how can anyone miss what is going on .. especially those who are supposed to know what the scriptures teach. .. But then again, this is another prophesied sign of our times. .. Jesus said to the 'spiritual' leaders of His time .. "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' 3) and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast..' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times." .. (Matthew 16:2-3) ...
It is truly amazing as to how the 'condition' of the Church has declined in recent times. .. But again, the Bible clearly tells us this would happen .. that the end-time Church would fall into a 'lukewarm' state. .. (Revelation 3:15-17) .. We are now witnessing first-hand what was foretold in the Book of Revelation of how this last-generation Church would become 'wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.' .. Judging from what I see, this has happened. .. And the real tragedy? .. Most everybody in the pews of America's churches are being led down the path of destruction by these current modern-day false prophets & seducers who twist or ignore God's Word for their own fame & personal gain. .. Today's 'spiritual' leaders are going to extraordinary lengths to 'adjust' God's Holy Word so it will fit into today's world. .. Teachings that point to absolute sin are now being sold to the 'sheep' that because it is now modern times, these practices are all OK. .. But then again, what does the Bible really say? .. "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." .. (Isaiah 5:20) ...
I wasn't going to go 'there' today, but I am so sick of these ravenous wolves masquerading amidst the flock .. these modern-day self-appointed apostles, false teachers and prophets who set out to seduce and devour the scripturally unprepared souls. ..
Sadly, we have emerged into the 'Days of Noah' as the Bible prophesied we would in Matthew 24:37-39 .. where we are going about the business of life and have put aside those who are trying to warn of the coming days of tribulation that are soon to befall this world. .. It is really frustrating to know that few have the time to listen to us 'watchmen' anymore. .. It must have felt this way to Noah as well. .. Think of it. .. Here's a guy building a boat on a mountain & preaching of the coming flood. .. But, like today, people just kept going about their business ignoring all the warning signs. .. I would even imagine some of them most likely thought that Noah should have been 'committed.' .. I mean, building a boat on a mountain? ...... Think about it. ...
But we who know the truth will persevere! .. God will see us through these lukewarm, perilous times! .. We will continue to 'build the boat!' .. Hallelujah!!
I want to conclude with a statement from brother Hal Lindsey who sums it up quite succinctly ..
"Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. .. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. .. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. .. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. .. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment, and most certainly, persecution the time between now and the rapture. .. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. .. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the Good news of the Gospel. .. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. .. We still have time to reap a 'great harvest of souls' for God's Kingdom."
He is absolutely right! .. Naysayers will come. .. Scoffers & mockers will increase as we draw ever closer. .. And yes, there will be times of disillusionment & discouragement. .. But we must never forget this one invaluable truth .. we who 'know' have the hope of His coming glorious kingdom .. a time of pure joy & happiness. .. Hallelujah! ..
The signs of the times are upon us. .. And what does that tell us? .. "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." .. (Luke 21:28) .. He is coming soon! ...... Hallelujah! ..
