Is this it? ... Is this the time many have predicted would be 'the end of the world as we know it?' .... There certainly is a lot of buzz going on ... anywhere from famous scientists like Isaac Newton to secular mathematicians to well-known Rabbis to cults, not to mention several Christian pastors. ... Last week in my commentary, "September Warning Signs," I specifically pointed out many of the upcoming events relating to the reasons for all this speculation ... Blood Moons ... the end of the Shemitah Year .... Jewish holidays such as Rosh Hashanah, Yom kippur. and the Feast of Tabernacles ... all coming together at a specific time that in the past has seen cataclysmic occurrences such as economic upheaval in America as well as a number of historic events involving the Nation of Israel. .... So, will this be the case this time around? ... As the title implicates, September has certainly started out in a very precarious fashion. ... Let me share with you some world headlines that have taken place in just the opening 24 hours of this month. ... *World Economy ... -U.S. stocks just finished worst August in 17 years, starts September down big ... -NYSE invokes 'Rule 48,' designed to smooth market open - (It didn't ...) -Economic 'Death Cross' patterns spreading ... -China cracks down to curb 'panic & disorder' -China manufacturing industry continues contraction - markets continue descent ... -Canada officially in Recession ... -EU & Asian markets fall amid global economic concerns ... -Oil plunges on weak global factory data ... -Weak global manufacturing data wallops Wall Street -Surging ranks of 'Ultra-poor' in USA ... -Nervous financiers purchasing getaways to escape ... ... and that's just the economic news ... so what else? ...   *Pestilence ... -3 major hurricanes forming over the Pacific at the same time - 1st time ever ... -New Ebola disease resurfacing in Sierra Leone ... -Giant glob of deadly algae floating off U.S. West Coast - Scientist : "These are the highest levels of toxicity we've ever seen." ... -80-year old woman trampled to death in Venezuela super market stampede ... -1000s of dead fish washing ashore off Brazilian Coast ... -Chaos: War on streets of America as murders rise sharply ... -Another Police Officer shot dead in U.S. - 3rd in week ... -World migrant crisis reaching 'unprecedented proportions' ... *Leaders warn EU facing 'crisis of biblical proportions ... *Hungary shuts down all rail traffic ... *Czech President calls for army to protect border ... *Chaos at Budapest Station ... *Commentator: "The system is collapsing" ... *Morality ... -Universities telling students to use 'gender-neutral' pronouns (Instead of he/she, it's now xe/xyr ... (and sadly, they are serious!) .. -U.S. Supreme Court rules against Christian clerk in 'gay' marriage case ... -Pope absolves women who commit sin of abortion, blesses lesbian authors for their 'excellent Christian values,' and gives priests OK to forgive abortion ... ... and all of this tool place on just the 1st day of September! .... Needless to say, this will certainly continue to feed into the frenzy of all the aforementioned ..... For us 'watchmen on the wall,' this is an incredible time in God's timetable, for sure ... but is it the time of his return? ... Again I want to reiterate that 'no one knows the hour' of our Lord's triumphant return ... but yes, we will know the season, according to Christ's teachings. ... He tells us we will see 'signs in the sun, moon, and stars,' that there will be increasing worldwide havoc & pestilence, and much more ... (look to Matthew 24, Mark 13 & Luke 21 for Christ's specific teachings concerning these times we are living in) .... So what are we 'children of the Lord' supposed to be doing as these crazy things keep happening all around us? ... As always, we need only go to God's infallible Word for that answer. ... Let's look to 1 Peter 4:7 which says, "The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray." ... These words are exactly why I believe Bible prophecy, and the understanding of it, will help all of us to get through what time we have left in this crazy world. ... Trust me when I say this ... the more you understand God's prophets, the more your mind will be at ease, and any fear that may come upon you will vanish. ... Look at this scripture for proof of this ... "And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart." (2 Peter 1:19) ... I love that! ... Jesus IS the morning star! ... Hallelujah! I will close with this final passage for this day .... "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus or Lord."
