1 John 5:19 says, "..... The whole world is
under the control of the evil one." ....
This was certainly evident a few days ago when that
evil-possessed young man slaughtered 27 people in Newtown, Connecticut,
which included his own mother, six adults and 20 little children. ...
Like many of you, when I first heard the story, I couldn't quite get
my head around something as dark and evil as this. .... My first thought
was how .... how could anyone fall to a level so low as this ... to
walk into a room full of beautiful little innocent children, and then
shoot them multiple times. ... Simply, only satan could mastermind
something as horrible and awful as this .......
... Next of course, the comments from our leaders
and news pundits start to pour in relentlessly ... and after listening
to many of them ... and hearing their thoughts and so-called solutions
to this kind of societal behavior, it truly tells the story of the pure
'blindness' to the real cause of something like this. ..... As an example,
one said "we've got to change the system ... we must do things
differently." ... Really? .... Another thought that 'enhanced security'
would solve the problem. When he was asked how that could be done, he
said ... "we must place policemen in every school in the nation."
He wasn't sure how we could afford such a dramatic action, but we needed
to figure that out. .... Still another believed that "violence
is systemic." ... Now while that sounds very 'scholastic' ...
if one stops and considers this for say... even a second, we would realize
how 'feeble' the statement really is .... Of course it's systemic! ...
All that means is that violence is a part of our system! ....
Amazing!!!!! (they pay these guys) .....
But I think this one was my favorite ... one politician
suggested that we "try and figure out better ways to legislate
good and competent parenthood." ... I'll spare you his name, but
suffice it to say you won't find it on any IQ list above 80 ....
But this one really sums it up ... Bill O'Reilly
said this ... "Evil is increasing and I don't know why." ..
Then he said ... "There is no solution to evil." ... Now this
guy claims to be a Christian ... a member of the Catholic Church ...
and yet he doesn't understand why evil is increasing? ... and more incredible
.. he believes there is no solution? .... Herein sums up the condition
of the American Church in a tidy little bundle. ... Many more
than Mr. O'Reilly who claim to be Christian feel exactly the same way...
they don't understand it ... and they truly believe there is NO solution.
Let's let the Bible explain what is taking place
in this world ... 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says this ... "But mark this:
there will be terrible times in the last days. 2) People will be lovers
of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient
to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3) without love, unforgiving,
slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4)
treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers
of good ... 5) having a form of godliness but denying its power."
Joel Rosenberg said it clearly when he stated that
"We are, in many respects, in a moral and spiritual freefall in
our country, and we are paying a terrible price. ... The demons of violence
and lawlessness are on the loose all across America." ... Here's
just one stat he pointed to ... violent crime has surged by more than
460% since 1960. ... Thinking back for just a moment, isn't this
about the time we began the assault on God in this country by taking
Him out of our schools ... our government ... our courtrooms ... our
homes ... our media? ...
.... and didn't we learn a lot about America in
this last election? For example, for the first time in our history,
people voted to legalize same-sex marriage. They voted it down
32 previous times, but this time, laws permitting same-sex unions passed
in Maryland, Washington State and Maine. ... Minnesota rejected a measure
constitutionally defining marriage as a union of a man and a women.
Also, Wisconsin elected a lesbian to the senate, the country's first
openly homosexual senator.
Now let's look at a few headlines in just these
past few days ...
*Fox News - Atheists dub Jesus a myth
... Times Square ...
*CNN - "Have yourself a merry
atheist christmas ...
*AP - "War on Christmas ...
*Fox News - rapper singing about 'gang
banger Jesus' ...
*KTVA (Alaska) - Atheists wage
war on Christmas in Anchorage: Anti-religion signs on people
mover buses ...
*Comedy Central - John Stewart wages
war on Christmas and mocks those who disagree ...
John 3:19 sums it up simply ... "This is the
verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness
instead of light because their deeds were evil."
Now the real question ..... How long will God put
up with this blatant behavior that is totally contrary to His teachings?
... We are seeing warning signs flashing ... but sadly, most all are
ignoring it and are blindly going through the motions of life.
.... Matthew 24:37-39 talks about how these times would be like "the
days of Noah" where people would be blindly going through life
and ignoring all the signs ... until one day the flood would come and
take them all away!
Jesus Himself warned us in the Gospels about the
increase in floods, droughts, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, wars
and rumors of wars ... He also told of our descent into materialism,
greed, godlessness, rank idolatry, arrogance and self-promotion.
.... He also made it very clear that the ONLY way to escape these coming
days of evil and darkness was to repent of our sins and turn our faces
to Him, and only Him. ...
Sadly, we must realize that these dark days are
only going to get darker before He returns to rescue us from ourselves.
... The Bible is very clear on this subject. ... So how do we protect
ourselves from these forces of evil? ... Again, Scripture has the answer
... Ephesians 6:10-12, 16 says this ... "Finally, be strong in
the Lord and His mighty power. 11) Put on the full armor of God so that
you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12) For our struggle
is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms. .... 16) In addition to all this,
take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one."
Finally, remember this .... God is about to unleash
a revolution by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to rule this earth as
King of King and Lord of Lords .... We are almost there ... take hope
in this! ...
