This commentary comes to you from the beautiful
city of Florence, Oregon. ... My wife and I, along with Jodi Billette,
came down this past Saturday to help out with a 5-day Revival service.
Jodie & I are leading worship and having a great time with these
wonderful people down here on the central Oregon coast. .... Praise
the Lord! ... He is faithful & true!
... But now to what is on my mind .........
A few weeks back I read an article written by a coach from Arkansas
named Jim Neugent. ... In a moment, I will share his comments
in their entirety ... and then also the response he received ... and
then want to share briefly what dangerous consequences this whole thing
implies .... So now, here it is ...............................
"My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC
(on-line) concerning a program called 'The Practice.' In last
night's episode, one of the lawyer's mothers decided she was gay and
wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so
she could marry her 'partner.' I sent the following letter to
ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one.
"My original message was: 'ABC is obsessed
with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any
of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. ..
The Practice can be fairly good show, but last night's program was so
typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to
be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay, and made
him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of
mentality calls people like me a "gay basher." .. Read
the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible), and see what the
Apostle Paul had to say about it .... He, God and Jesus were all 'gay
bashers.' What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel?
Is that an alternative life style? (By the way, the Bible speaks against
that , too)"

Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:
"How about getting your nose out of the Bible
(which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers
hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of Independence (what
our nation is built on), where it says 'All men are created equal,'
and try treating them that way for a change.
"Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and
stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence.
You are in the minority in this country, and your boycott will not affect
us at ABC or our freedom of statement."
Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:
"Thanks for your reply. From your harsh
reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with
whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper
will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you."

people stopped using the Bible for a crutch? Please resend this

I love this guy! ... We need more brave souls like
brother Jim out there!
.... but the real tragedy here is this ....
This is the attitude of the vast majority of major news outlets in our
world today ... and coupling this with last week's thoughts on the condition
of today's 'dumb' church .... the pure lack of Bible knowledge ... this
makes for a very dangerous combination.
A few years back, I read a book by David Kupelian
named "The Marketing of Evil: How radicals, elitists, & pseudo-experts
sell us corruption disguised as freedom." ... It goes into
detail of how these 'nut-jobs' have sold their poison to the masses.
... One example is the re-branding of homosexuality. In those
days of the late '50's & early 60's, they were called 'queers' &
'fags'... which didn't have great curb appeal. ... So these devious
'marketers of evil' came up with the term 'gay', which, if you think
about it for about a minute, has NOTHING to do with being homosexual.
... But it sounds nice & appealing... and has a much 'softer' approach
...
... and sadly, these 'sellers of deceit' have had
astounding success in almost every area they've attacked! .... and it
has been successful simply because there are not enough 'Jim Neugents'
out there! ... For the most part, the American Church leadership has
turned its back and, except for in-house sermonizing, have ignored this
onslaught of evil-selling. .... And when we survey the general
public concerning basic Bible knowledge among churchgoers, it makes
guys like me wonder if church leadership is even doing anything ...
in house, or out!
To sum up, the news media outlets in this country
could care less about Christian morals & beliefs. .. This comment
from ABC is a mirror of how they truly feel. ... Somewhere along the
line, they have bought in to this liberal, left-leaning doctrine, which
is basically godless... and now they are pushing it down the throats
of the incredibly vulnerable public.
I've received some flack in the past concerning
my 'attacking' Church leadership ... and if I've offended any today
... GOOD! .... I'm sick & tired of those of us who have been 'called'
by God to teach & preach His Word just sitting around seemingly
ignoring this onslaught of sin! .... I know this doesn't make me popular,
and that is perfectly fine with me .... and for those of you who loyally
read this site each week? ... I want you to hold me accountable!
I want you to speak out the Bible truths God has so plainly given to
us! .... We may not win every battle, but I can guarantee each of you
that WE WILL WIN THE WAR!
OK ... I'll calm down now ... Just remember that
I'm leading Worship in a Revival right now and am fired up! ... Please
pray that this fire will NOT be temporary .... and please pray for this
Revival we are currently involved in to reach many souls ..... May our
Great God richly bless each of you!
