There's been talk ..... There's been talk for a
long time about the coming persecution of the Church ... Yeah, there's
been talk, but it probably won't .. in fact .. can't happen in America!
... Right? ... That's what many of us 'insulated' citizens of
this once-thriving democracy really thought ... The rest of the world
has these persecution problems ... but not here!
Well think again, oh 'protected' ones! ...
IT IS HERE and this week saw pure proof of it in several news stories.
... For clarity, let's take a quick glance at them ......
*April 26th .. World Net Daily - "Defense
Department blocks Southern Baptist website - cites 'hostile content'
"
...... Now what could be the 'hostile content'?
... Knowing the Southern Baptist doctrine, they are very 'literal' in
their views concerning the Holy Scriptures. ... For example, the Bible,
both Old & New Testaments, clearly state that homosexuality is a
sin. Therefore, the Southern Baptists choose to believe it. ... But
in today's society, this is not being 'tolerant' .... so the State Department,
because of their 'tolerance' level, chose to ban the site ....
*April 29th .. Breitbart - Pentagon
taps anti-christian extremist for religious tolerance policy"
...... The following is a statement from this 'fair
& balanced' appointee ... "Today we face incredibly well-funded
gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow
Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity
upon their helpless subordinates in our nation's armed forces."
..... The article goes on to say that Christian Chaplains will be court-martialed
if they so much as whisper any of their 'beliefs upon anyone. .... .....
So this is how it is? .... This guy can call us monsters but we can't
say Jesus is Lord?! .... sadly, this is how the secular world views
the meaning of 'tolerance' .....
*April 30th .. Fox News - "ESPN
apologizes for homosexual comment"
...... This apology was a result of one of their
commentators stating that "According to the Bible, homosexuality
is a sin." ..... needless to say, the outcry from the people of
this 'Christian nation' was overwhelmingly against this commentator.
.... How could someone of this level of popularity be so "out-dated"
and judgmental? ..... So, ESPN apologized fearing their viewership
might suffer if they didn't ... Heaven forbid if they should stand for
what is the truth! ....
...... What we all must see here in these stories
is this .... Even though the buzz-words in our society today are tolerance
... acceptance ... fairness ... and stuff like that .... the real hypocrisy
here is that it seems most everyone is tolerant of everything and everybody
EXCEPT the literal Christian ... those of us who try our best to follow
the Word of God, regardless of the consequences ....
Then there's this story ....
* May 2nd .. CP U.S. - "Greg Laurie
to gay activists: 'I won't back down' "
...... How refreshing to see someone like Pastor
Greg, who shepherds a mega-church in Southern California, not worry
about his own personal popularity, but stand on the truth of the
Scriptures at all costs. .... This ruckus was caused over the National
Day of Prayer agenda .... and of course the gay activist's opinions
were certainly welcomed ... but if anyone should oppose those ideas?
... Well, that was just unthinkable! ..... In other words, your
opinions are welcome ... as long as they agree with mine ....
The bottom line here is this .... we who believe
every "jot and tittle" of Scripture ... not so long
ago respected and upheld ... are now the pariahs of this society and
every effort is being made to shut us up and force us into the closet
.... and this includes our own government!
It is not difficult to see that we, the 'True Church',
are fighting against a confederacy of evil . Our enemies
... Satan, his fallen angelic hosts, and his fallen
human operatives .... seek with all their might to destroy all true
Christians because of their violent hatred for God Almighty and His
Son, Jesus Christ. .... and because of this, we Christians must know
this ... they will try every tactic possible to 'steal us away' from
God. ... There is a battle for the mind, the will, the heart, the body......
Every part of us can be oppressed by demonic attack ... and there is
a battle raging for the Church, its unity and purity. ... We must pray
what Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:13 .... "Deliver us from the
evil one (the devil)."
In summing up, it is obvious what is taking place
.... Christian oppression is on a very rapid rise all over the world
... but didn't Jesus warn us that this deception would be rampant in
the last days? ... He also said that we wouldn't be very well liked
... in fact, He specifically said that we would be hated for standing
up for the truth . John 15:18-19 says, "If the world
hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged
to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not
belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That
is why the world hates you."
So much for the popularity contest! ... but just
think of this reward Jesus speaks of in Matthew 5:11 ...
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute
you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me."
.... Wow! .... I love it when He says we are Blessed! ... Hallelujah
!!!!!!
"Do not let your hearts be troubled .... "
(John 14:1) .... because Jesus said that "In this world you will
have trouble. But take heart, for I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33) ....
Stay strong and true to His Word ... and He will
Bless you & Reward you for your courage and steadfastness .... and
remember that very soon all this darkness we in the true Church are
holding out against will soon be changed to light by His glorious and
triumphant return .... Hallelujah !!!!
