The Wrath of God is Being Revealed ......

Romans 1:18 says this .... "The wrath of God is being revealed from Heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness."

When I got up this morning, I was excited about a couple of thoughts I had concerning this week's commentary ... but as the day wore on, that all changed in the "twinkling of an eye!"

If any of you watched the news today ... just today ... you have to wonder just how long all this 'stuff' can continue to go on! .... Let's just review some of what took place ...

   -Iran & North Korea threaten nuclear war ... "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars ..."

       (Matthew 24:6)

   -World markets shudder as gold prices plunge across the globe ...

     *Dow skids -266 ...

     *Gold plunges ...

     *Investors bail amid collapse ...

     *Panic everywhere! ...

     *Gold: Worst 2-day loss since 1983

     *"We've never seen anything like this"

     *Foreign holdings of U.S. debt to $5.7 trillion ...

... and more:

   -4 dead & 21 injured in weekend violence in Chicago ...

   -2 killed, scores injured as 2 bombs explode at Boston Marathon ...

..... and that's just today! ... Now although I realize this is a 'heavy day' for news, many other days as of late haven't been much different. ... Those of you who follow this site know I do a weekly news report on articles I believe relate directly to Bible Prophecy..... so I'm involved constantly ... every day in this stuff .... and I can tell you, it continues to increase at a highly rapid pace. ... On Tuesday evenings I teach a class on end-time studies, of which part of our time is spent reviewing weekly news events concerning these days we are living in, and I can tell you that with each passing week, the amount of headlines screaming the 'end of days' is skyrocketing! ... I have to eliminate many stories just for the sake of time!

Scary Times, right? ... but then, 1 Thessalonians 5:4 says this ... "But you brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you ..."

As followers of Jesus Christ, we know the only reliable answers are in God's Word. ... I marvel sometimes at how confused the world's experts ...... economists, government leaders, scientists, academics ... really are! ... The truthful ones all admit they are confused. ... They all seem to scratch their heads when the 'bubbles are bursting,' or how we went from a booming economy to sudden despair ....

Let me share with you what the late David Wilkerson said as to what the Bible says is coming .....

"God has spoken to us very clearly in Scripture about what to expect, now and in the future.  Yes, frightening things are happening, but they all have been prophesied in God's Word.  These prophecies are not meant to scare us but to build a foundation of trust.  Our Lord's Word for us is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He sits even now as King over the present flood.

"We must start by examining what God said would happen to people and nations that turn away from Him.  In leviticus 26, God describes the destinies of nations that either obey or ignore His Word.  Her says, in essence:  'You are to trust the Lord God, to honor my Word and obey my commandments.  If you do, I will bless and prosper you, bringing rain to your crops.  You won't face debt;  in fact, you will lend to others.  And you will be kept safe from your enemies.  You won't be terrorized or face wars;  your country will enjoy peace.  No one will be able to make you afraid.

'But if you, your people and your nation, refuse to honor me - if you despise my commandments - here is what you will reap:  I, the Lord, will humble you and break your pride.  You'll waste and squander your strength, and I will remove your power and prestige.  Your enemies will prevail over you, robbing you of your wealth and prosperity.  You will be debtors, not lenders.  And suddenly you will know terror and sorrow.' "

Wow! ... I could not have said it any clearer than that! ... 

I could share a lot more stories of how America, and the world in general, is literally 'spitting in God's face' concerning His instructions for us .... but  ... unless you are either in total denial, or are 'spiritually blind', there is no denying we are facing his ever increasing wrath ... until He has finally had His fill ..... Romans 2:5 says,  "But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are stirring up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath."

Scripture says that these days would be like this ... and we certainly can't change the ultimate outcome of God's Word ... but we can change our own errant ways as well as those we love and are in contact with each day .... 

Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 24:33 that ... "Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door." ......

Just today's news alone shows us that yes, He is near, right at the door! .... Hallelujah!!! ... So now that you are reminded of just how close He really is .... get it done! ... If you've been putting off getting yourself right with God ... or if you haven't shared with someone you know you need to  .... again, GET IT DONE!

Know that I am praying for each of you ... and God knows exactly who each of you are! ... Isn't that cool?! ...... (just dated myself, I know) .....
