You can sense it! ... You can smell it in the air!
It is the scent of things to come ... things prophesied long ago, but are now present in our society .. our culture .. in the 'political air' we breathe. .... There is a huge change coming, according to God's Word, and it won't be for better times for those who dwell on the face of the earth.
The transformation of our country is well underway, and in fact is accelerating at an astounding pace! As history shows, it began some decades ago. ... Starting in the 1960's, we saw the judicial branch of our government replace much of the legislative and executive branches involvement in shaping social and cultural positions that guided this nation. ... Roe vs. Wade and the abortion of nearly 55 million babies since ... followed by prayer and Bible-reading being rejected, and then ejected by humanists who now run the public schools --- all of this preparing the way for the complete foundational transformation of our society. ... Simply, it has caused spiritual changes that NO NATION can survive as a moral entity. ... The bottom line is that this tide of 'humanism' has all but destroyed the foundation of decency and moral values this nation was once built upon.
Because of all this moral chaos and upheaval, the Church life in our society has been totally affected. A classic example is the mega-church movement that has since burst upon the scene that has invited entertainment priorities to replace sound doctrinal teaching and preaching. .. It is the result of decades of telling the American people that while Church (meaning Christianity) and state MUST be separate at all costs, the Church MUST allow the secular things of the nation ... that is, all things related to humanism ... to be an integral part of its activities. .... Entertainment, 'pop' psychology, secular rock bands with an occasional glimpse at the spiritual, and an amazing array of merchandizing, has become part of this transitional change.
And tragically, this methodology has worked! ... The mega-churches have exploded in numbers and have grown wealthy and 'influential' as their leaders have evolved into mega-stars. ... But the truth is, in the vast majority of cases, the attendees receive NO sound doctrinal teaching of God's Word. .. They receive messages of becoming a better 'me' ... how to become wealthy by earthly standards ... all the while NEVER hearing that a sinful lifestyle has severe eternal consequences ... but hey, the people get the 'comfort' of having been to church ... their consciences can be clear and it 'didn't hurt one bit.'
The translation of all this is .... the humanists ... the secularists ... and Satan himself are getting their way ... what they wanted has come to pass. ... The result will be the regime of the coming world leader .. the Anti-christ .. whom the masses will worship as god.
Psalm 2: 1-3 says this ... "Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? 2) The Kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 3) let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their chords from us." (NKJV)
Those of us who follow the true and infallible teachings of our Savior knew that these days would come upon us as the Church age draws to a close ... but when we actually see it right before our very eyes, it just shocking to witness! ... I'm so amazed atjust how 'blind' people have become to the truth!
.. Somehow it would seem that simple common sense would tell them that all this stuff is wrong .. that this is NOT what the Lord intended for His people! ... But then, 1 Timothy 4:1 says, "The Spirit clearly says that in later times, some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." ... Also, 2 Timothy 4:3-4 states ... "For a time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4) They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
So seeing all this 'treacherous transformation' of our society only tells us that the time is at hand. ... Jesus said in Revelation 3:20 ... "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." ....
Are you one that is in the 'lukewarm' category? ... one that is just 'going through the motions? ... Please believe me when I say that time is truly short! ... All the signs in our decadent society point to Christ's soon return. ... I urge to 'knock' ... to ask Jesus to 'come back' into your life. .... All He is waiting for is the quiet tap on the door ... to love and surround therepentant heart that desires to come home. ...
Know that I am praying for each of you, regardless of your 'condition' ... and if anyone our there reading this feels the nudging of the Holy Spirit, stop what you are doing ... right now ... and knock ... He is listening ... and waiting with open arms! ... Hallelujah!
