Truth Be Told

Last week I talked about how America is changing course in its relationship with Israel, forcing her into a more isolated international position. I also talked about what had previously unified our two nations, one of which as a "common enemy" - the Muslims.

This week, I want to pursue a deeper glance into this "common enemy" and the ever-changing tide of deception creating this relational breakdown between America and Israel.

The whole process started some thirty-one years ago at the Camp David meetings, but has really began accelerating just these past few years. -- Let's look for examples at how pervious President Bush took a more moderate stance with the Muslim world. To begin with, immediately after 9/11, Mr. Bush visited a mosque in Washington, D.C. and proclaimed Islam a "religion of peace." -- He often stated that terrorists were not real Muslims. He even went on to state that Muslims and Christians all pray to the same God. - Wow! -- Any way you look at this statement, its universalism (article coming) and neither Christians or Muslims believe in that.

Moving to our new administration, there's even more evidence in its appeasing attitude to the Muslim world, and all at the expense of the Israeli relationship.

Also stated in last week's commentary was how very difficult it was to understand how these so-called wise leaders of ours continue to miss the entire point of why the Israeli neighbors seek their destruction.

To better understand this, we need to take a look at the driving force behind this blatant hatred of the Jewish state. -- It is none other than faith-based differences.

We in this western culture understand the Hebrew faith position because we are primarily Christian and share the same God. -- But what is Islam-and what is the truth?

For quite some time now, I've been listening to the ongoing debate about Islam --- some are fanatics --- some are moderate and peace-loving. -- In fact, we just recently listened to our current president wanting to negotiate with the "moderate" Taliban. -- What?! Does anybody remember how Israel's neighbors have sworn not to rest until she is wiped from the face of the Earth? -- No moderation there!

Remember this! -- Their entire motivation for their desire to destroy Israel is totally and unequivocally faith driven.

Listen to me when I say, there comes a time in our nation and our church when a spiritual fog or religious deception must be removed by a clear and unbiased pursuit of truth. -- Simply stated, devout Muslims believe that killing Americans and Jews is the will of Muhammad the Prophet -- and the will of their god -- called Allah.

Islam not only condones violence - it commands it.

The Quran (their equivalent of the Bible), teaches in over one hundred verses to either convert or kill the infidel (non-believers).

Iran's Ayatollah Khomeni declared: "The purest joy in Islam is to kill and be killed for Allah." Is this fanaticism -- or simply being faithful to the Islamic teachings?

Muhammad, the founder of Islam, slaughtered thousands of people in establishing and spreading Islam. He told his followers: "Who relinquishes his faith, kill him. I have been ordered by Allah to fight with people till they testify there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger."

Simply put, Islamic terrorists are not fanatics, but devout followers of Muhammad who are following his example and doing what their Islamic doctrine teaches them to do.

John Roberts' "Thesis on Seven Mountains" states:

Point is, people can sit around making diversity quits and think happy and deceiving thoughts, or soberly assess what Islam really stands for -- violence, murder, and terror toward anyone who rejects their faith.

Islam teaches that Muhammad superseded the patriarchs and Christ. The word Islam does not mean peace -- it means submission. Islam believes the prophet Muhammad taught absolute truth -- that it is Allah's will for them to rule the earth. Therefore, if Islam does not defeat Israel, Muhammad and the Quran were wrong -- and that is absolutely unthinkable. Therefore, they must defeat Israel.

A final note on Islam in America --- Historian, Daniel Pipes, writing from the Commentary Magazine November, 2001 issue, recorded the following shocking evidence concerning Islamic' loyalty to America:

"In June, 1991, a convert to Islam, Siraj Wahaj, a recipient of the American Muslim community's highest honors, had the privilege of becoming the first Muslim to deliver the daily prayer in the US. House of Representatives. On that occasion he recited from the Quran and appealed to the Almighty to guide American leaders and to 'Grant them righteousness and wisdom.'"

But his story did not end there. -- A little over a year later this same Muslim, addressing an audience of New Jersey Muslims, articulated a completely different message from his mild and moderate prayer given before the U.S. House. He said, "If only Muslims were more clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate (Islamic leadership body)." - He concluded with these remarks, "If we were united and strong, we would elect our own leader and give allegiance to him. -- Take my word, if the six to eight million Muslims in America unite, the country will come to us."

Let me share with you a brief story by Rick Mathes, a well known Christian leader in prison ministries:

“Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic imam had to say. The imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the imam and asked, ‘Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Islams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad (holy war) against infidels of the world, and that by killing an infidel (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in Heaven. If that is the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?’

There was no disagreement with my statement and without hesitation, he replied, ‘non-believers’.

I responded, ‘So let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in Heaven. Is that correct?’

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of 'a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, ‘Yes’. I then stated, ‘Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a  place in Heaven.’ The imam was speechless.

I continued, ‘I also have a problem with being your 'friend' when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be there with me?’”

In conclusion, you can clearly see the truth behind the motivation of the true Islamic. Short of conversion to their faith, there is no other option.

The Bible says in John 17:3, "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

Also, I John 5:20 states, "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life."

I don't know about you, but I'm growing weary of all the distortion and untruths coming out of the mouths of all these "Bible morons".

I'm fed up with people saying the Bible doesn't mean what it says -- and I'm really tired of the people twisting the words of Holy Scripture to fit their distorted, politically correct, anti-God agendas.

Remember, the Bible means exactly what it says, and says exactly what it means.

And here's the good news! Jesus is coming back really soon to end all this nonsense.

We need to pray for the lost which includes all Muslims, because they are lost.

The Kingdom of God is at hand!
