Unless you live in a glass bubble, you would have to admit that this is the condition of today's world. ... Everything we once thought of as 'normal' is no longer the case. ... And of course, as we approach the final hours of this age, we know that these conditions will only grow worse. ...
What triggered me to talk about this was a headline of just a few days ago which reported that public schools are now teaching that we can no longer call boys 'boys' & girls 'girls' ... Are you kidding me?! ... We know, of course, that the onslaught of moral depravity is raging forward in these days, but to tell our young babies that they are of neither sex .. that there is no difference between them .. is simply beyond my comprehension! ...
Another example in this arena is the "Same-Sex Marriage" issue. ... Just a few years ago it wasn't even a topic of discussion in the public arena ... but now, if anyone opposes it for 'faith' reasons, they are persecuted and sued, which has resulted in their loss of business and bankruptcy. ... It seems 'traditional marriage' is now a thing of the past. ...
Just mentioning a couple more examples of Christian persecution taking place in this once-declared Christian nation ... just yesterday, another news story tells of a military general possibly facing a court martial for "Thanking God" at a religious ceremony! .. And last week, a Navy chaplain was forbidden to use the name of Jesus in his ceremonies. ... What is really ironic in all this is that "Allah and other religious gods" seem to be OK ... just NOT Jesus! ... WOW!!! ...
Here's just a few more quick examples of the 'Upside Down' condition ...
*We kill babies but save the 'smelt' ....
*Rioters vs. Police .. we investigate the police but not the rioters ...
*Our government now supporting Muslim nations while turning their backs on our
traditional allies .. including israel ...
*Numerous IRS employees not paying their taxes, but the rest of us must ...
The list goes on & on, and I'm sure each of you could add many more to this short list.
.. Let me rap this short piece up with this prayer that was given by Minister Joe Wright at the Kansas Senate back in 2007 .... While everyone was expecting the usual generalities, this is what they heard ..."Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. ... We know your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good" but that is exactly what we have done. .....*We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our valuers ...*We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery ...*We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare ...*We have killed our unborn and called it choice ...*We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable ...*We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem ...*We have abused power and called it politics ...*We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition ...*We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of speech and expression ...*We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment ...Search us, oh God .. and know our hearts today ... cleanse us from every sin and set us free ... Amen"
Crazy times, isn't it? ... But then God said it would be this way just before the Trumpet blows ... and then, praise the Lord, all once again will be 'right-side up' for eternity! ... Hallelujah!!!
