A few weeks back, on April 22nd to be
exact, in my commentary entitled "The Great Prostitute," I talked
about how this new pope was taking the world by storm .. and that he just may
be 'the guy' to bring together all the world's religions .. the end result
being the formation of the prophesied world church, which ultimately will be
the religious partner of the anti-christ.
At that time we were witnessing his
astounding rise in popularity all across the globe and his initial steps in
wooing other world religious leaders such as the Muslims, Eastern orthodox and
the Anglicans. ...He even made an impact on American wealth-teaching heavyweight
Kenneth Copeland! ... And now just this week, we are seeing his efforts
reaching new levels ...
In my daily news research today, I ran
across this headline ... "Pope Francis on frantic quest to unite all
religions under Rome" ... Let me quote just the leading paragraph to give
you a brief overview ... "Pope Francis is a man on a mission to fulfill
Bible prophecy, and he is getting more done than any other pope in the last 100
years. .. Pope Francis is here to make
some serious and drastic changes not only in the Catholic Vatican system, but
in professing Christianity as well. ..
He is creating a One World Religion."
So what is he doing and who is he seeing?
... Just this week he had both the presidents of the Palestinians (Abbas) and
the Israelis (Perez) for mutual prayer. ... During this venture, we saw Muslim
prayers in the Vatican for the first time! .... Also this week we saw
mega-church pastor Joel Osteen along with Mormon Senator Mike Lee visit his
'place of business.' .... Joel Osteen said he was enthralled with the fact that
Pope Francis is so inclusive (remember that word) ...Here's his quote ...
"I like the fact that this pope is trying to make the church larger, not
smaller. .. He's not pushing people out but making the church more inclusive
(that word again). .. That resonates with me." .... What planet is this
guy on?! ... Mormons, Catholicism, Muslims ..... all religious walks making up
the church? ... Doesn't Osteen know anything about the 'true' teachings of
scripture .. and all the warnings concerning these times we live in? ... Lord
help us!
The Christian Post reports that according
to Westmont College, Francis had invited more than a dozen 'North American
Protestant leaders' to discuss the question:
"Can we find common ground in order to advance the life and
ministry of Jesus so more people can express the joy of Christian faith?"
.... Great idea, Mr. Pope, if in fact the 'common ground' doesn't compromise
the truth of the scriptures. ... Sorry, but salvation doesn't include people
who worship any other god! .. It also doesn't include those living in sinful
lifestyles. .. Let me back this statement up with this scripture .... "Do
you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolators
nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor
the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom
of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) ...... Whether I like it or not .. whether
it seems harsh or not .. it is the Word of God and therefore is true and should
never be trifled with!

.. I'm sermonizing .. so let me shift gears for just a moment. ... Is this pope
just possibly the last pope spoken of in the twelfth-century St. Malachy
prophecy? ... the last pope who will usher in the final world religion and
partner of the anti-christ? .. For a moment, let's take just a quick glimpse of
who this guy really is. ...
His given name is Jorge Mario
Bergoglio. He started 2013 in total
obscurity, living in a one-bedroom flat in Buenos Aires, doing his own shopping
and cooking, and riding the subway unnoticed and undisturbed. ......By May he
was living in Rome, where he had inherited the throne of the Roman Catholic
Church. (what?!) .. By December, he was
arguably the most popular and loved man on Earth, the hope of millions, and
Time Magazine's Person of the Year.
Bergoglio's election as pope in March
2013 caught many by surprise. .. He is the first non-European pope in more than
1200 years, the first-ever pope from the Americas, and the antithesis of the
ultra-traditionalist that most assumed would replace Benedict XV!. ...
Inconspicuous and humble in appearance, he struck many as lacking in
reputation, in theological pedigree, in charisma and personality. ... Many were
perplexed. ... Could such an unremarkable man lead 1.2 billion Catholics? ..
Could he run Vatican City, known for its cliques, egos and infighting? .. Could
this quiet, unpretentious Argentine resurrect the Catholic Church - its
reputation injured by years of crisis and scandal - as a force for stability
and leadership for a tumultuous and hurting world?
Students of Bible prophecy wondered
further ... Could Bergoglio, an outsider, a non-European, a man seemingly more interested
in the poor than in politics, increase the Vatican's power in Europe, unite the
continent, then lead the prophesied spiritual arm of the Holy Roman Empire? ...
Does he fulfill Bible prophecy?
We are barely over a year into his
pontificate, and I believe we already have answers. ... Pope Francis is having
profound success! .. It has been so dramatic that it now has its own name --
the Francis Effect. .. Across the planet, public support of the Catholic Church
is rapidly increasing, and in many countries, dramatically so. .. Church
attendance is up .. conversions are up .. the pope is widely adored and
admired, even among non-Catholics. ... Francis has worked wonders among the
church's lukewarm and disillusioned laity. .. "What makes this pope so important
is the speed with which he has captured the imaginations of millions who had
given up on hoping for the church at all," wrote Time. ... Simply put, as
far as Bible prophecy is concerned, it doesn't get much more significant - or
exciting!
Wrapping up, if we read Revelation,
chapter 17, we see the truth of the coming "harlot" that will deceive
the people as she rides the Beast (the world leader) ... "The woman was dressed in purple and
scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled
with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries." (verse 4) ... The
abomination is the distortion of the truth of the Holy Scriptures of which this
religious system will use to deceive the world! ... and then this ... "I
saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those
who bore testimony of Jesus." (verse 6) .... and who are these people? ...
US! .. Those of us who refuse to fall for all the deception that is running
rampant in this out-of-control world! ... But, praise the Lord, as we move
further into the truth of scripture, we find that this great deception will not
last for very long, and the true saints will see the victory which will last
for all of eternity! ... Hallelujah!
So, is this pope the one to usher in the
coming world religion? ... Is he the harlot spoken of in scripture? .... One
thing is for sure .. we will know soon enough. ... Personally, with everything
thing else falling in line prophetically, I think he could very well be the
guy! ....
