It’s crazy out there! .. Pandemics, Pestilence, persecution .. you name it! .. The prophesied climatic events of these final days of the Church Age are upon us in full force .. And because of it all, people are becoming flawed, frayed, & frustrated! .. Hope seems so fleeting in this world of growing despair ………. Sounds so encouraging so far, doesn’t it?
So what do we do in this time before our Lord comes for us? .. We need to ‘tune out the world & tune in to Jesus! .. We need to shine like stars in the universe! .. In these increasingly chaotic times, we need to ‘see’ Jesus! .. Our faith & hope needs to be in Jesus, & not in the world’s ways! .. We are the light in a darkening world! .. The Lord is our refuge! .. The Bible teaches that our tongues determine our destiny .. Life & death is in the tongue! .. We can disagree but still love one another! .. Proverbs tells us “The tongue of the wise brings healing.” ..
As for living under man’s laws, our basic teachings says to follow man’s law, as long as they DO NOT go against God’s law .. We pay our taxes & pray for the ‘appointed’ leaders, even those we do not agree with .. I know this is easier said than done, so what I want to give you now is some scriptural support as to ‘who’ we are & ‘how’ we are to live our lives in these times of trouble .. Here they are ……
*Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
*Acts 4:19-20 & Acts 5:29 tells us to “obey God rather than man”
*John14:27 - “Peace I leave with you, do not be afraid”
*John 15:18-19 – “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”
*John 16:33 – “ ….. in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
*John 17:14-16 – “ I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.”
Hopefully this will give each of you some ‘spiritual ammunition’ to combat all this negativity & hate that is in the world right now .. & always remember this .. WE ARE THE REMNANT! .. WE HAVE A DIFFERENT CALLING! .. WE NEED TO RISE UP SPIRITUALLY RIGHT NOW & BRING HEALING!
Nothing more need be said .. The Bible has said it for us ………
