I woke up the other day & realized I've been on this planet for three-quarters of a century! .. During this complex journey, I've witnessed many different twists & turns .. some good & some not. .. And you know what is shocking? .. Just how fast it all went by! ......
There is so much I could share because of the various career paths & life experiences .. the successes & failures .. but the point I want to focus upon right now is the individual journey each of us chooses to take, & just how so many have fallen by the wayside because of those choices. .. Sadly, I have witnessed so many who have descended into deep despair & sheer unhappiness & disappointment because of their perceived failure in life. ..
First, let me share with you the lyrics of a song I wrote some years back that pertains to people with self-defeating attitudes. .. It was originally inspired by several members of my own family. .. Sadly, the words carry a message of despair for a rapidly growing number of people in today's increasingly evil world. .. Read these lyrics, & then dwell on them for a moment. .. I'm sure that you will soon realize that they resonate as truth to either yourself and/or someone close to you. .. Here they are ......

Now, look at the one brief glimpse of hope in the third verse that says, "Ask the Lord to help you" .. Self-defeat is a psychological deception that the devil likes to throw at people of all walks of life & it is rapidly spreading across this nation & planet . .. It is clearly a tool of the evil forces that are ramping up their final attack on anyone willing to let them in! ... 1 Peter 5:8 says this plainly .. "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." .. Can't be any clearer than that. ..
Are you one of those who is feeling rejected, defeated, and not worthy of much of anything? .. Welcome to the world of the enemy! .. But, you don't have to live that way any longer! .. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms, regardless of where you've been. .. "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." .. (2 Peter 3:9) ..Hallelujah! ..
If you are still not convinced, just look at this old man as living proof of our Lord's saving love. .. I was lost, turned my face to Jesus, & now I am content, happy & truly confident in my eternal destination. ... You can be, too. .. All you have to do is ask .........
